Hello! My name is Christy Rae and I moved to Seattle 6 years ago with my puppy Jazzmyn Marie from Durham, North Carolina.
For five years I held a job as Business Analyst for Microsoft working from home developing policy for search advertising and investigating policy fraud for Bing. I loved my job greatly as it allowed me to work from home and spend all the time in the world with my best friend. The contract ended in March 2017 and I found myself in an interesting place of needing to learn new life skills and thus am studying Web Development at Seattle Central College - a path that I am greatly learning to adore!
I have a background as a Project Manager and Business Development Executive working for a web development company in North Carolina, but I never learned to code. It was this job that gained me my long-held position at Microsoft. I have worked for years in IT and always held on to a thought that my artistic passions were best pursued outside the work space, I never saw the art in coding. I have found that art now and am really enjoying learning how to develop and code websites. Ultimately ,I look forward to building a business for myself building websites, having already worked in customer facing and business development role, I feel having locked down the customer interface side and now learning the coding side, this is a natural life progression. To be able to set myself up as a one stop solution for small business web development would be amazing. Having this eventuality would allow me to travel the world and work wherever I feel drawn to.
Since all the lovely pictures on this page are of my dog - let me tell you a little bit about her. Jazzmyn came to me as a 8 week old puppy and passed away on June 13, 2015 at 14 ½years old. I picked the name Jazzmyn for her and she picked her middle name, because all proper southern girls need a two part name.
